When and Where is it?

As well as courses in the UK each vacation (Winter, Spring & Summer), VaCO heads abroad each Summer for a European VaCO (EVaCO) course.  Drawing participants from all over Europe and beyond, EVaCO gives advanced students the opportunity to perform, compete and network on an international level.

VaCO courses usually last a week and are residential with concerts given in the locality, sometimes in venues where live music-making at this level isn’t often heard.  Where possible the VaCO team lead workshops in local schools.  VaCO members learn valuable education and outreach skills when assisting with these workshops - something which is hugely useful in the profession and stands out on a CV.

VaCO participants come from all over the country to courses which are usually held in the North of England.  We are particularly keen to expand the areas in which we can offer courses, making them accessible to a wider range of students and bringing our concerts to a wider audience.
